MEET COLTON HORNSBY

Hi Everyone, I am the Founder and Head Trainer of Proteanize Fitness Club. Through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA), I received my qualifications as a personal trainer with additional certifications in nutrition, bodybuilding, and CPR. Currently I am a full-time college student at the University of north dakota, majoring in kinesiology with intentions of earning my masters degree. In addition, I am minoring in both coaching and communications to broaden my capabilities while further expanding on my ever-growing passions of fitness and self improvement.

As someone who has grown up with a background in athletics, I had the fortunate opportunity to discover the importance of physical activity and nutrition from a young age. Through my athletic journey, I was exposed to the amazing benefits of what consistency and discipline can provide. While, it certainly took a great deal of hard work, the fruits of my labor eventually led to state-championships in both football and track respectively. However, it wasn't always smooth sailing as I would experience a career altering back injury that would sideline me through my senior year; it was during this time of change that I had the blessing of discovering bodybuilding. Through bodybuilding, my love of training and overall wellness were reignited, as I once again had a chance to prove myself. Although, this time, it would be at a national level event, as I placed 2nd overall in teens and 3rd overall in collegiate despite being the youngest in my category.


I say all of this to further emphasize that no matter what stage of your fitness journey you currently find yourself at, there is always an entry point. With consistent hard work and some patience you can fully achieve your personal health goals. I cannot wait to walk these next steps with you, as I have the absolute pleasure of watching you "become the change" you want to see.

I really enjoy my workouts with Colton! He is a both professional yet very easy to talk to. Over the past few months, he has really helped me comeback from a rough knee surgery, and has inspired me to return to the court. Just 6 months ago I was ready to give up on this "fitness stuff." In the past, I had less than enjoyable experiences with other online coaches who were not attentive or as motivated as I was. It had aways felt insincere or too generic. However, after discovering PFC and working with Colton, my passionate perspective on training has reignited!
